About the video: The "Kenshiro Abbe Jubilee Celebration" was a great Budo event held at the Crystal Palace Sports Centre in May 2005. The event was to pay tribute to this legendary Budo Master who arrived in the UK in 1955. Abbe Sensei introduce Aikido to Britain for the first time at the Royal Albert Hall London in 1955. This event was created and organised by a small group of surviving direct students of Abbe Sensei. There were many guests including the late Bill Woods Sensei, who despite his serious health problems made his final public appearance.
